TP-Link TL-WN821N

  • Chipset: Atheros
  • usbid: 0cf3:1002 or 0CF3:7015? (this version reported to work)

Info

Not working, tried with driver arusb_xp.inf from CD. Everything went smoothly in the ndis install, but the device doesn't show up with iwconfig.

UPDATE

I've used Driver from CD ( TL-WN821N/Windows XP 64bit/netathuwx.inf ) and it works however the usbid of this device is (0CF3:7015)

# ndiswrapper -l netathuwx : driver installed device (0CF3:7015) present
# ifconfig -a (no wlan0 present)
# ndiswrapper -v utils version: '1.9', utils version needed by module: '1.9' module details: filename: /lib/modules/2.6.27.56-0.1-default/misc/ndiswrapper.ko version: 1.56 vermagic: 2.6.27.56-0.1-default SMP mod_unload modversions

I also tried the following versions: 1.53 - original 11.1 and 1.57rc

wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:off/any Mode:Managed Frequency:2.462 GHz Access Point: ########### Bit Rate=300 Mb/s Encryption key:off Power Management:off Link Quality:100/100 Signal level:-23 dBm Noise level:-96 dBm Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:275 Missed beacon:0
