I watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0Ist9aEKEg and followed the instructions, but it still didn't work, then I saw the page at http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-ndiswrapper-wpa_supplicant-howto
and running the command 'sudo modprobe ndiswrapper' made it work.
